In collaboration with the Postgraduate Studies and Research Sector headed by Prof. Dr. Mohamed Gaber Abu Ali, PUA’s Faculty of Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence hosted a high-caliber scientific day titled “AI and the Scientific Research Frontiers”. The event was inaugurated by Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel Rahman, Dean of the Faculty, in the presence PUA’s Vice Presidents, President’s Advisors, and the Advisor to the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research. The gathering also included deans, vice-deans, and department heads, with the participation of approximately 200 faculty members and teaching assistants from various university faculties.
The scientific day featured a specialized symposium that addressed critical topics, including the ethical charter for Artificial Intelligence, advanced AI tools designed to support scientific research, and groundbreaking AI applications in medical fields. Keynote speeches were delivered by distinguished experts, including Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel Rahman, Prof. Dr. Mohamed Kholaif, Vice Dean of the College of Computing at the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport, and Dr. Ahmed Abdel Hamid Saleh, Director of Computing Programs at Damanhour National University.
The event concluded with a rich panel discussion moderated by the Dean, featuring Prof. Dr. Mohamed Gaber Abu Ali and the keynote speakers. The session facilitated an in-depth exchange of insights regarding the future of intelligent technologies and produced several strategic recommendations aimed at integrating AI tools into the university’s research framework in alignment with global standards.
