A Specialized Workshop On Network Pharmacology
In a bid to advance scientific research and academic excellence, PUA’s Faculty of Pharmacy hosted a specialized workshop titled “Network Pharmacology”. This workshop was held under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Majed El-Ghazouly, Dean of the Faculty, and organized by Prof. Dr. Rasha Shaalan, Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and Research.
The workshop, led by Prof. Mahmoud Suleiman, a pharmaceutical sciences expert from KwaZulu-Natal University, South Africa’s, marked the inaugural event of the faculty’s newly established In-silico Pharmacology Research Unit. This initiative aims to foster cutting-edge training programs for faculty members and researchers in drug discovery and development.
Prof. El-Ghazouly emphasized that the unit aligns with the faculty’s vision to become a regional hub for applied pharmaceutical research. Prof. Shaalan added, “This workshop is the cornerstone of broader international collaborations in In-silico pharmacology.”
