Under the supervision of the Student Activities Department, Pharos University Alexandria’s Faculty of Applied Health Technology organized a scientific seminar titled “Positron Emission Tomography (PET): A Cutting-Edge Diagnostic Tool”, presented by Prof. Dr. Mohamed Al-Safwani, a diagnostic radiology expert.

 

Key Seminar Highlights PET scans and their transformative role in disease diagnosis, how PET imaging enables high-precision identification of tumors at initial stages. It also showcased the use of PET in advanced hospitals and radiology centers for neurological and cardiovascular assessments.

 

Prof. Dr. Al-Safwani emphasized, “PET technology represents a quantum leap in nuclear medicine, allowing physicians to diagnose complex conditions rapidly and effectively,” adding that “Pharos University prioritizes equipping students with expertise in advanced medical technologies.”
