A Field Visit to EDEX 2025

Pharos University in Alexandria (PUA) organized a student field visit to the Egyptian Defense Exhibition “EDEX 2025” in New Cairo, under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud Mohie El-Din, PUA’s President, Prof. Dr. Mohamed Etman, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, and Colonel Mohamed Farouk.

This visit aims to enhance national awareness and connect students with developments in defense technology. The exhibition is held under the patronage of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, highlighting its significance as a major international platform gathering top global defense companies.

During the tour, students explored the latest armament systems, air and naval defense systems, digital technologies, and drones. They also visited the Egyptian Pavilion, which showcased the achievements of the national military industry, reflecting the state’s efforts in supporting national capabilities. This experience fostered national pride and allowed students to link their academic studies with modern practical applications.
