PUA’s Architectural Engineering Department organized a recreational trip to Siwa Oasis for senior students (10th semester), supervised by faculty members namely Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mohamed Mahmoud El-Fakharany and Dr. Engy Mohamed Naguib, accompanied by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mona Mohamed Naguib, Dr. Nourhan El-Heridi, T. A. Naglaa Youssef, and T. A. Reham El-Sherif.

The trip aimed to provide students with an opportunity to enjoy their time before graduation, creating lasting memories of their university experience. Students explored Siwa’s most important tourist attractions over three days filled with diverse activities.

On the first day, students visited the famous Temple of Amun where Alexander the Great was crowned, followed by a visit to Dakrour Mountain where the tour guide explained its social significance during the Festival of Reconciliation and its importance to the people of Siwa. In the evening, students headed to Fatnas Island to enjoy the enchanting sunset view.

During the second day, students explored the salt lakes and salt mines, then enjoyed a safari adventure in the Great Sand Sea and sand surfing on the dunes. Afterward, they headed to Cleopatra’s Spring for lunch. They concluded the day with a distinctive Bedouin evening and a visit to one of the natural warm springs.

On the third and final day, students concluded their journey by purchasing Siwan products and souvenirs from the traditional Shali Market, carrying with them unforgettable memories of this unique experience.
