Sports Arbitration Law in Egypt
As part of its commitment to enhancing legal awareness among its students and linking theoretical aspects with practical application, PUA’s Faculty of Legal Studies and International Transactions hosted a cultural seminar titled “Sports Arbitration Law in Egypt”. The seminar covered the legal and regulatory framework for arbitration in the sports field and the most prominent clauses the law relies upon to resolve sports-related disputes. The seminar reviewed the concept of sports arbitration as one of the most important alternative dispute resolution mechanisms, highlighting its role in settling conflicts arising between clubs, players, and sports federations in a quick and effective manner that preserves the rights of all parties and supports a spirit of fair competition.
Discussions also addressed the Egyptian law regulating sports arbitration, as well as the regulations issued by the Egyptian Sports Settlement and Arbitration Centre. Key legal articles and clauses defining the mechanisms for filing cases, procedures for ruling on them, and methods for enforcing arbitration decisions were explained. The seminar concluded by affirming that sports arbitration represents an effective tool for achieving swift justice in the sporting environment and contributes to spreading a culture of legal professionalism among sports professionals and law students.
