Pharos University in Alexandria (PUA) achieved remarkable success at the university swimming championship organized by the University Sports Federation, held at the American University in Cairo. Student Janna Nasr Eldin Ali Abdel Aal, from the Faculty of Arts and Design, won two gold medals by securing first place in the 200-meter individual medley and the 100-meter breaststroke events.
Malak Waleed Essam Eldin Shabana, from the Faculty of Physical Therapy, also clinched two gold medals, finishing first in both the 100-meter backstroke and 50-meter backstroke races. Additionally, Marwan Mohamed Bakry Mohamed, a student from the Faculty of Dentistry, earned a bronze medal by placing third in the 200-meter breaststroke event.
The athletes were honored by the President of the University Sports Federation in recognition of their outstanding performances and for elevating PUA’s presence in inter-university competitions.
