In a bid to reinforce social responsibility and instill a spirit of volunteerism among youth, Pharos University in Alexandria (PUA) launched an extensive charitable convoy to distribute “Ramadan Bags.” The initiative was organized by the Student Activities Department with outstanding participation from the Faculties of Languages and Translation, Dentistry, Legal Studies and International Transactions, and Applied Health Sciences Technology. The convoy was held under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Mohamed Etman, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, and supervised by Dr. Noha Badr, CSED Director.
The convoy visited the “Nab’aa Al Hob” and “Tariq Al Khair” associations, where male and female students worked diligently to deliver aid to families in need ahead of the Holy Month. This initiative is part of PUA’s strategy to engage students in field activities that serve vulnerable groups, contributing to the development of their leadership characters and community awareness.
The university administration expressed its pride in this student synergy, which proves that PUA’s mission extends beyond classrooms to the heart of the Alexandrian community, reaffirming its ongoing support for initiatives that reflect the bright humanitarian face of the university and its students.
