In a significant athletic milestone for Pharos University in Alexandria (PUA), Hazem Hossam Fathy, a third-year student at the Faculty of Engineering, secured the Silver Medal and second place in the (90 kg) category at the Egyptian Universities Judo Championship. The tournament was hosted by Ain Shams University, featuring fierce competition among 28 Egyptian public, private, and national universities.
Hazem’s participation was organized under the supervision of the Student Activities Department. He delivered a high-caliber technical performance throughout the championship, proving that PUA students can master both rigorous engineering studies and elite martial arts. Winning second place amidst such intense competition reaffirms the university’s commitment to providing excellent athletic preparation and continuous support for its champions.
