PUA Celebrates Orphan’s Day

Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Mohamed Etman, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, PUA’s Student Activities Department and Community Service Center (CSED) organized a grand celebration for Orphan’s Day, hosting approximately 300 children from seven charitable organizations, namely Nabaa Al-Hob, Al-Istqrar, Wokalaa Al-Khair, Al-Qalaa for Community Development, Tarek Al-Khair, Mujeeb Al-Saileen, and Ras Al-Teen.”

In his keynote speech, Dr. Etman emphasized the university’s commitment to supporting orphans’ rights, stating: “We aim to be a beacon of social awareness and a practical model for supporting underprivileged groups.” The event resulted from close collaboration between the university and partner organizations that facilitated children’s participation and care provisions.

The celebration, organized with help from students across various faculties, featured an artistic performances and interactive competitions, diverse entertainment activities, and gift distributions for participating children.

Organizers praised the CSED’s pivotal role in coordinating efforts between different faculties and departments, noting that this success reflects the university’s mission to promote social solidarity and comprehensive development.

This annual event is part of PUA’s ongoing community service initiatives, which aim to instill social responsibility values among its students.
