PUA’s Faculty of Legal Studies and International Transactions organized an awareness lecture titled “Occupational Safety and Health: Pillars of a Secure and Sustainable Workplace” as part of its 2nd annual “Pharos Green” campaign. The initiative aligns with the university’s broader vision to become an eco-friendly institution.

The lecture emphasized embedding occupational safety culture as a cornerstone for maintaining safe and sustainable university environments. Key discussion points included risk assessment protocols, creating hazard-free workspaces, staff training programs, and health standards compliance. Experts highlighted how robust safety measures reduce workplace accidents, curb pollution, and boost productivity while advancing environmental awareness.

Students actively participated by presenting demonstrations on identifying occupational hazards and implementing preventive strategies. These practical sessions underscored the intersection of safety practices and sustainability in academic settings.

In closing, organizers reaffirmed that investing in occupational safety is critical to achieving Pharos University’s mission of building a green, secure campus—a model for integrating environmental stewardship with institutional well-being.
