National Security and Collective Awareness
Within the framework of fostering cooperation between PUA’s Faculty of Mass Communication and various national institutions, the faculty had a field visit to the Morale Affairs Department of the Armed Forces. Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Naela Emara, Dean of the Faculty, the visit aimed to expose students to the practical media landscape and exchange expertise on the role of communication in shaping public awareness and safeguarding national security.
Accompanied by Brigadier General Ibrahim Atiya, students toured the Media Center to gain firsthand insights into the institution’s media operational mechanisms and professional content management. The event also featured a profound lecture by Major General Mamdouh Zeidan on “National Security” and “Collective Awareness,” emphasizing the vital role of youth in confronting contemporary challenges and information warfare.
This visit underscores the faculty’s commitment to building mature political and media awareness among students, linking academic curricula with national responsibility. Students expressed their pride in this experience, which provided them with a deeper understanding of creating a positive media impact, reaffirming the importance of knowledge and awareness in countering rumors and contributing to a cohesive domestic front.
