Committed to enriching the academic and practical lives of its students, PUA’s Faculty of Arts and Design held a seminar titled “Material Technology in Interior Design.” Dr. Mehetab Elsayed Ahmed, Lecturer in the Decor Department (Interior Design Program), prepared and presented the seminar.

The seminar’s core topics included:

• Introducing the latest materials used in interior design.
• The evolution of materials in light of modern technology.
• How to select appropriate materials for interior spaces based on function and visual identity.
• Practical applications and case studies of modern interior design projects relying on innovative and sustainable materials.

In addition, the seminar featured real-world examples and applied studies that highlighted the integration of theory and practice, which helped broaden students’ horizons and inspire them to explore new dimensions in their field. This initiative underscores the faculty’s commitment to equipping its students with the latest knowledge and skills to keep pace with developments in the job market.
