As part of its commitment to health and environmental awareness, PUA’s Faculty of Legal Studies and International Transactions launched an anti-smoking campaign titled “My Breath is a Trust, My Environment is a Responsibility” The campaign, under the faculty’s second environmental initiative “Green Pharos,” aims to combat smoking and promote a smoke-free campus aligned with sustainability goals.

The initiative included distributing educational posters to students, highlighting smoking’s adverse effects on personal and public health, and advocating for pollutant-free environments. The materials also emphasized collective and individual actions to foster positive behavioral changes, such as smoking cessation and eco-friendly lifestyle adoption.

Prof. Dr. Zeinab El-Demerdash, Dean of the Faculty, stated, “This campaign reflects our mission to integrate sustainability into academia and instill social responsibility in students. ‘Green’ Pharos is not just a slogan but a strategic roadmap to position the university as a leader in environmental stewardship.”
