Innovation Week
Over the course of three days, PUA’s held the Innovation Week, which included multiple activities, starting with a distinguished opening session attended by Prof. Dr. Nourhan Fanaki, Vice President and Supervisor of the Entrepreneurship Center) and Prof. Dr. Mohamed Etman, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development (CSED). The Francophone University Association (AUF) participated in the opening, with Dr. Souhaila Salama delivering an inspiring speech on the AUF’s support for innovation and entrepreneurship.
This event serves as a practical application for students in the field of entrepreneurship, particularly in market research and problem-solving. Students were divided into groups with diverse academic backgrounds, and several groups shared a class with a dedicated coach. They were taught the fundamentals of entrepreneurship and market research by a selection of experienced trainers in the field.
Three companies, with their identified market challenges, were assigned to the groups, with each class focusing on one company and one problem. Students then began to analyze the problem, conduct market research using various techniques learned during the workshop, and find solutions. The final presentations were evaluated by a judging panel comprised of experts and entrepreneurs. The student teams demonstrated an exceptional level of creativity and distinction. At the end of the event, gifts and certificates of appreciation were presented to the participating students in recognition of their outstanding contributions.
