As part of its academic and training activities aimed at enhancing students’ practical skills, PUA’s Faculty of Arts and Design hosted a distinguished training workshop titled: “Modern Techniques and Mechanisms for Selecting Industrial Alternatives in Furniture Manufacturing.”
The workshop sought to introduce participants to the latest techniques used in furniture design and production, with a special focus on employing alternative and sustainable materials that meet contemporary demands and support the shift towards modern industrial design, revealing the faculty’s commitment to innovation.
Moreover, the workshop addressed the mechanisms for selecting appropriate industrial alternatives and how to achieve a balance between aesthetic and functional aspects alongside environmental sustainability criteria. This contributes to preparing a generation of designers capable of innovating and meeting the needs of the contemporary market, emphasizing the necessity of transitioning towards more sustainable and environmentally conscious design practices.
