Immersive Training at the Police Academy
Students from Pharos University in Alexandria (PUA) participated in a unique immersive experience at the Police Academy, following directives from the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research to strengthen ties between university youth and security institutions. The program commenced with rigorous medical screenings to ensure student readiness, followed by on-field training where Pharos students joined police cadets in physical fitness drills and self-defense arts. This collaborative environment aimed to instill teamwork and bolster self-confidence in future leaders.
The experience extended beyond physical training to include deep security insights through live simulations of crime scenes and equestrian training. Additionally, intensive awareness lectures covered state strategies for combating rumors, drug wars, and the protection of national projects, empowering university students to serve as an intellectual “shield” against threats. The itinerary featured inspiring field visits, notably to the “May 15th” Reformation and Rehabilitation Center, where students witnessed Egypt’s qualitative leap in human rights and the transformation of correctional facilities into vocational and medical rehabilitation centers. The program also concluded with visits to the General Administration of Criminal Evidence Investigation and the Cairo Security Directorate, delivering a powerful message that Egypt’s security is a shared responsibility and that the Police Academy remains a beacon for raising generations aware of national challenges.
