Greennovation Day

 

PUA’s Faculty of Dentistry, in collaboration with the Faculty of Arts and Design, held the “Greennovation Day for Environmental Creativity.” The event featured a wide range of innovative ideas and interactive games. These activities focused on the importance of environmental preservation, encouraged recycling, and proposed unconventional solutions for environmental issues that might arise in dental clinics. This day reflected the university’s commitment to fostering creative thinking among its students in addressing environmental concerns.
Representatives from the Green Pharos Committee and a group of faculty members from the Faculty of Arts and Design collaboratively organized and executed this activity.
The day saw high-profile attendance from public figures and academic leaders, underscoring the initiative’s significance. Among the distinguished guests were:

• Dr. Rania El-Gazaerly, Member of Parliament.
• Dr. Walid El-Deeb, Head of the Dentists’ Syndicate in Alexandria.
• Dr. Mohamed Khamis, General Director of Dentistry at the Directorate of Health Affairs.
• Prof. Dr. Mervat Khalil and Prof. Dr. Laila El-Habashy, Faculty Vice-Deans.
• In addition to numerous professors and university staff.

A significant number of students participated in this event, showing great interaction that resulted in many constructive ideas and innovative artistic and scientific activities. Awards were presented to several winning students, and artworks were created using recycled materials such as acrylic teeth and paper, highlighting the students’ creative and environmental awareness.
The day concluded in an atmosphere full of energy and fun, solidifying sustainable thinking within the university and enhancing awareness of the importance of environmental preservation. This event reaffirmed PUA’s pioneering role in building a conscious and responsible generation towards environmental issues and the future.
