As part of its third environmental campaign aimed at establishing sustainability principles within the university community, PUA’s Community Service and Environmental Development Center (CSED), in collaboration with the Green Pharos Committee, held a specialized seminar titled “Green Banking and its Link to Strategic Management” for senior students at the Faculty of Financial and Administrative Sciences.
The seminar was part of a lecture delivered by Dr. Noha Badr, CSED’s Executive Director and Student Activities Coordinator, with the participation of Green Pharos Committee coordinators, namely Ms. Amani Ahmed and Ms. Nourhan Gamal. The seminar covered the concept of Green Banking and its importance in supporting the shift towards a sustainable economy by adopting financial policies that protect the environment and reduce the carbon footprint of financial institutions.
The seminar also highlighted how to integrate Green Banking principles into the Strategic Management of institutions, and its role in enhancing social responsibility and achieving a long-term competitive advantage. The event included interactive discussions with students on successful local and international applications. This activity affirms CSED’s commitment to spreading a culture of sustainability and building advanced environmental awareness among students.
