PUA’s Faculty of Mass Communication had an extensive educational and training visit to the Egyptian Media Production City (EMPC) in Cairo. The visit aimed to enhance the field experience of students participating in the Upskill training center, effectively bridging the gap between academic curricula and the practical realities of the media industry. The tour included an exploration of EMPC’s advanced technical facilities, where students received detailed briefings on audio studio equipment and modern Dolby Sony Atmos systems, alongside visiting open-air shooting areas and the main control unit for satellite channels, providing them with a golden opportunity to witness television production behind the scenes and the latest global technologies in the field.

This initiative was conducted within the faculty’s strategy to refine students’ skills and broaden their professional horizons. The faculty administration emphasized that such field visits are a fundamental pillar in preparing graduates capable of competing efficiently and professionally in the media labor market, offering them a realistic view of technical challenges and opportunities in a real-world work environment. This step is part of a series of events organized by the Upskill center to ensure that Pharos University students keep pace with the highest professional standards in content creation, directing, and media production.
