Affirming its commitment to supporting sustainability initiatives and fostering environmental awareness, PUA’s Faculty of Dentistry hosted, for the second consecutive year, a series of awareness training sessions as part of the “For Sustainable Dentistry, Go Green” campaign. This activity falls under PUA’s second campaign, “Green Pharos,” and is supervised by Prof. Dr. Mohamed Etman, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs.

The initiative targeted the faculty’s students with the aim of enhancing their understanding of sustainable development goals and introducing the principles of “green dentistry,” in addition to guiding them on mechanisms for managing environmentally friendly dental clinics.

The events included an orientation session, interactive activities, and brainstorming sessions, all of which contributed to creating a stimulating learning environment. The initiative drew remarkable interaction from participating students, reflecting the faculty’s success in instilling a culture of sustainability among its students and underscoring its leading role in integrating environmental practices into medical education.
