Amidst an atmosphere of excitement and welcoming new students, PUA’s Faculty of Financial and Administrative Sciences organized its Orientation Day. The event aimed to integrate students into university life and inform them of the available academic and professional opportunities.
The ceremony commenced with a speech by Prof. Dr. Tarek Taha, Dean of the Faculty, who provided students with a comprehensive overview of the faculty and its academic programs. The Dean highlighted the joint cooperation with Dublin Technological University in Ireland (TU Dublin) emphasizing the international educational opportunities and expertise this collaboration offers to enhance the quality of the educational process.
Following this, Prof. Dr. Mohamed Etman, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, delivered an insightful speech offering advice to students for a successful academic journey. Dr. Etman stressed the importance of discipline, personal skill development, and utilizing university activities alongside academic excellence.
The ceremony was also attended by Dr. Osama Badr, Vice Dean and Director of the Arabic Language Program, and Dr. Noha Badr, Executive Director of the Community Service Center. They congratulated the new students and affirmed the faculty’s and university’s commitment to supporting them academically and professionally from the start of their university career.
Attendees were also introduced to the functions of the various faculty committees that work to facilitate student life:
- Student Activities Committee: supporting talents and developing cultural and sports aspects.
- Community Service Committee: connecting students with community issues and fostering a spirit of participation and responsibility.
- Academic and Administrative Committees: providing a distinguished educational environment.
