Egypt’s 2nd National Student Union Leaders Summit
Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Mohamed Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, the 2nd National Summit for Egyptian University Student Union Leaders commenced, at the headquarters of the Ministry’s Leadership Preparation Institute.
The summit aims to foster active student engagement, enhance leadership skills, and strengthen the role of student unions as platforms for community participation within universities, aligning with Egypt’s national youth empowerment agenda. Representatives from public and private universities—including PUA, MUST, O6U 6, and HUE—are participating, with private institutions joining for the first time following this year’s student election.
Karim Ahmed, President of PUA’s Student Union, contributed actively to the summit’s discussions, underscoring the role of youth in driving sustainable development.
The agenda features workshops, panel discussions, and participation in the “Be Ready” initiative at the Semiramis Intercontinental Hotel, which equips graduates with job-market skills through collaborations with government bodies. These efforts align with Egypt’s National Higher Education Strategy and the presidential “Alliance for Development” program.
This summit is part of a broader series by the Leadership Preparation Institute to cultivate youth capabilities and student awareness nationwide.
