Discussing Cooperation Prospects with the Addiction Control Fund

Prof. Dr. Mohamed Etman, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, held a meeting with Dr. Salam El Arabi, Director of the Addiction Control and Treatment Fund.

The meeting came within the framework of enhancing cooperation between PUA and the Fund to develop awareness programs and preventive plans aimed at reducing the spread of harmful behaviors among youth, and building a healthy and safe university environment.

During the meeting, the two parties discussed ways to implement joint initiatives, including awareness campaigns, educational workshops, and training activities for students and faculty members. They also highlighted how to strengthen the University’s role as a center for spreading a culture of prevention and effective community participation.

In addition, Dr. Etman stressed the importance of concerted efforts between PUA and governmental institutions to achieve the desired positive impact at the local community level, praising the effective role played by the Fund in confronting addiction-related challenges and promoting healthy behaviors among youth.
