In an artistic celebration blending authenticity with innovation, PUA’s Faculty of Arts and Design held a specialized workshop titled “Design Ramadan Joy, Your Kaftan by Your Hands”. This event aligns with the faculty’s strategy to enhance students’ creative skills and bridge the gap between theoretical curricula and practical applications in fashion design. The workshop witnessed remarkable participation from students who drew inspiration from the spirit of the Holy Month to create modern designs that revive heritage with a youthful, creative touch.
The workshop included intensive training covering all execution stages; starting from the fundamentals of selecting premium fabrics and coordinating colors that reflect the Ramadan spirit, to technical skills in pattern making and precise fabric cutting. Participants also explored advanced sewing and hand-embroidery techniques, learning how to add final aesthetic touches that grant each design a unique character. This initiative reaffirms the faculty’s commitment to preparing promising designers equipped with the practical tools necessary to enter the fashion industry with efficiency and distinction.
