PUA’s Faculty of Arts and Design hosted an event titled “The Impact of Cultural Identity on Visual Identity in Graphic Design”, which came to affirm the importance of integrating cultural values and elements into visual works, and enhancing the presence of local identity in the design scene. During the event, Dr. Amira Salah El Din Ahmed provided a distinguished explanation to students on how to extract and design logos and build a visual identity that expresses the identity of a place or a brand.
Dr. Amira also illustrated the creative steps that contribute to transforming cultural concepts into visually vibrant symbols full of meaning. This event reflects the Faculty’s keenness to link academic aspects with practical applications, while emphasizing the importance of the cultural dimension in enriching the outcomes of graphic design.
