Guided by PUA’s vision to instill a culture of sustainability and support knowledge-based initiatives, the Community Service and Environmental Development Center (CSED), in collaboration with the Faculty of Tourism and Hotel Management, launched a specialized “Book Swap” initiative.

The initiative aimed to revitalize the value of books by encouraging their reuse and circulation among the university community. This contributes to spreading a culture of reading while optimizing resources and reducing paper waste. The event witnessed significant engagement and positive interaction from students, faculty members, and staff, who exchanged books across various scientific, literary, and cultural fields, fostering a vibrant intellectual movement and a spirit of solidarity within the faculty.

CSED emphasized that this activity is part of a series of programs designed to raise environmental and social awareness, aligning with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through “Responsible Consumption.” Furthermore, this initiative strengthens effective partnerships between the university’s faculties, reaffirming that the campus is not only a place for academic achievement but also a beacon for promoting human and environmental values that serve society at large.
