Arts and Design’s Orientation Day

PUA’s Faculty of Arts and Design held an orientation day for new students, aimed at introducing them to the Faculty’s departments and various specializations, and providing an opportunity to learn about the study paths, academic, and creative activities that distinguish the Faculty.

The orientation day was attended by Prof. Dr. Mohamed Etman, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, Prof. Dr. Gaber Abou Ali, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research, and Prof. Dr. Maha Darwish, Dean of the Faculty, along with faculty members and students. In his speech, Prof. Dr. Mohamed Etman offered valuable advice to the new students, emphasizing the importance of commitment, discipline, developing their creative skills, and utilizing the academic experiences and opportunities provided by the University, thereby contributing to the preparation of a distinguished generation of artists and designers capable of competing in the job market.

Dr. Amira Hamdy reviewed the achievements of student activities in previous years and provided a detailed explanation of the various activity fields and opportunities available for students to participate in artistic, sports, creative events, and trips. Several Faculty alumni participated in the day’s events, presenting examples of their successful achievements and post-graduation experiences, underscoring the Faculty’s role in honing their skills and enabling them to compete in the job market. For her part, Dr. Maha, affirmed that the Faculty always seeks to support its students and provide an inspiring educational environment that helps them create and excel, noting that the orientation day is an important step in enhancing communication between new students and faculty members.
