PUA’s Faculty of Arts and Design relentlessly seeks to solidify engineering concepts and transform them into creative tangible models. Accordingly, the Faculty has hosted a distinguished exhibition for freshman students of the “Geometric Projection” course. Titled “Applications of Geometric Projection in 3D Design,” the event has been inaugurated by Prof. Dr. Maha Darwish, Dean of the Faculty. During the opening, she emphasized the pivotal role of such activities in refining students’ academic skills and stimulating innovation from the very beginning of their university education, all under the coordination of the Student Activities Department.
The exhibition showcased a wide array of student projects that reflected a profound understanding of projection fundamentals, utilizing these rules to construct 3D compositions that blend academic precision with artistic innovation. The displayed works varied between complex geometric solids and miniature architectural models, highlighting the students’ ability to translate theoretical concepts into practical applications. The event received widespread acclaim from faculty members and visitors alike, who praised the professional execution and artistic commitment of the first-year students, a milestone that significantly boosts their self-confidence and supports their future career paths in the diverse fields of art and design.
