An Open Meeting with Mass Communication Students
In its continuous effort to solidify the values of open communication and foster a supportive environment on campus, PUA’s Faculty of Mass Communication held an extensive open meeting with its students, under the supervision of the Student Activities Department. The event featured a constructive interactive dialogue between Prof. Dr. Naela Emara, Dean of the Faculty, faculty members, and students. The meeting was characterized by an atmosphere of joy and cordiality, successfully breaking traditional barriers and providing a genuine platform to listen to the aspirations of promising media professionals.
The meeting included a thorough discussion of various challenges students may face in their academic and professional journeys, with the faculty administration emphasizing that these periodic gatherings are a cornerstone in building mutual trust between students and the institution. Furthermore, the initiative aimed to motivate students to actively participate in various student and media activities, considering them an integral part of shaping the character of a successful media professional capable of engaging with social issues flexibly and intelligently, which ultimately enhances the quality of the faculty’s educational and skill-based outputs.
In conclusion, the students expressed their profound happiness and appreciation for this initiative, which provided them with an opportunity for direct and transparent dialogue with the faculty leadership. They highlighted the significant positive impact of such meetings in strengthening the sense of belonging and developing the educational process. Participants also stressed the importance of sustaining these events to support internal communication channels and create a stimulating educational environment that encourages creativity and excellence in various media and communication arts fields, in alignment with Pharos University’s vision to prepare creative and responsible generations.
