As part of the efforts of PUA’s Community Service and Environmental Development (CSED), and Student Activities Centers to promote health awareness, CSED hosted an educational seminar on the dangers of smoking and addiction.

The seminar was presented by Dr. Salam El Arabi, Director of the Addiction Control and Treatment Fund, who discussed the role of the State and the Fund in confronting the phenomenon, explaining that smoking represents the first gateway to drug abuse. He also presented the risks of addiction to the individual and society, early detection mechanisms, and the role of youth in confrontation and awareness.

The seminar witnessed notable interaction from students and faculty members, contributing to raising the level of health awareness within the university community and affirming the vital role of educational institutions in protecting against these dangers.
