Afforestation Campaign: Mass Communication
As part of the 3rd “Green Pharos” environmental campaign, PUA’s Faculty of Mass Communication conducted an afforestation event at the university nursery. The initiative was supervised by Dr. Bansae Salem, faculty’s Green Pharos representative.
The Community Service Center highlighted that this activity aimed to instill environmental stewardship and social responsibility in students. Furthermore, it encouraged them to utilize their media skills and communication tools to advocate for environmental awareness among their peers and the broader community. During the campaign, students actively participated in planting seedlings and learned sustainable plant care techniques, contributing to a greener and more vibrant campus.
This initiative reflects the faculty’s vision of preparing media professionals who are conscious of contemporary global issues and capable of crafting impactful messages that support sustainable development and environmental conservation.
