Afforestation Campaign: Financial and Administrative Sciences

Under the banner of the third environmental campaign “Green Pharos,” and as part of its initiatives to promote environmental sustainability, PUA’s Faculty of Financial and Administrative Sciences participated in an extensive afforestation campaign at the university nursery. The event was held under the supervision of Dr. Amany Ahmed and Dr. Norhan Gamal, representatives of the “Green Pharos” Committee, with the active participation of students dedicated to improving the campus ecosystem.

The Community Service Center explained that involving Faculty students in this campaign primarily aims to instill values of “environmental citizenship” and social responsibility, aligning with modern trends in sustainable management. Furthermore, the initiative encourages students to play a proactive role in environmental protection, bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and practical field application through direct involvement in tree planting and maintenance.

In addition, the students participated enthusiastically in planting a variety of seedlings, during which they received practical guidance on sustainable care and healthy growth techniques. This participation reflects PUA’s commitment to providing an integrated educational model that blends academic excellence with environmental stewardship. This approach ensures the preparation of graduates qualified to lead institutions with a creative vision that preserves natural resources and supports global sustainable development goals.
