A Seminar on Sustainable Development Goals

As part of its 3rd environmental campaign, “Green Pharos,” PUA’s Faculty of Languages and Translation held an extensive orientation seminar on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and their direct link to the “Green University” initiative. The seminar was held under the supervision of Dr. Sayed Hassouna, the faculty’s representative on the Green Pharos Committee.

The seminar aimed to raise student awareness regarding sustainability principles and highlight the vital role of youth in achieving these goals through practical campus practices, such as optimizing resource and energy consumption and supporting eco-friendly activities. The event featured interactive discussions where students explored ways to integrate sustainability into their daily and academic lives. Furthermore, the session showcased successful models of environmental projects implemented by the university to bolster institutional and community sustainability.

The Community Service Center emphasized that these initiatives reflect PUA’s vision of instilling environmental responsibility and fostering a culture of green innovation and community engagement. This approach ensures the preparation of a conscious generation capable of contributing effectively to sustainable development pathways.
