4th “Innovation Week” Concluded
PUA’s Career Development and Entrepreneurship Center (CDEC) and International Relations Department, in cooperation with the Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie (AUF), concluded the activities of the fourth edition of “Innovation Week.” Held over three consecutive days, the event drew wide participation from over 120 students representing various university faculties, alongside representatives from corporations and institutions supporting entrepreneurship.
Innovation Week offered a unique interactive learning experience through 4 parallel work tracks. Students collaborated within teams to develop innovative solutions for real-world challenges presented by the participating entities, which represented 4 diverse entrepreneurial ventures, including startups, alumni projects, and student ideas.
The event gained a distinct international dimension with the participation of 2 international trainers from the AUF, alongside 22 trainers from the university faculty, which enhanced students’ communication, teamwork, and creative thinking skills. The program featured a package of specialized workshops in innovation and entrepreneurship, delivered by experts from the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, aimed at supporting students in developing their concepts into practical, applicable solutions.
At the closing ceremony, a specialized panel of 12 judges from PUA, AUF, and Bibliotheca Alexandrina evaluated the student projects to select the winning teams. Dr. Sohaila Salama, Head of the E-Learning Department and Director of the CNF/CEF Center at the AUF, presented the awards and gifts provided by the agency to the winning teams, in the presence of event partners, participating corporations, and academic members.
