From Consumption to Innovation
PUA’s Community Service and Environmental Development Center (CSED), in cooperation with the Green Pharos Committee, held an interactive workshop titled “From Consumption to Innovation”. This event falls within the continuous activities of PUA’s third environmental campaign, “Green Pharos,” aiming to support environmental sustainability concepts and instill a culture of creative recycling among students.
The workshop aimed to raise participants’ awareness regarding the necessity of shifting from traditional consumption patterns toward adopting innovative ideas that contribute to repurposing surplus materials in eco-friendly ways, thereby ensuring natural resource preservation and reducing waste. The presenters explored scientific and artistic themes related to sustainable design principles and the mechanisms of repurposing materials through innovative plastic art techniques. They also presented practical models and projects that encourage students to think creatively when addressing current environmental challenges.
The event witnessed remarkable engagement from students who expressed great interest in applying sustainability concepts to their artistic projects and daily lives, reflecting PUA’s pioneering role in spreading environmental awareness and embedding sustainable practices within and beyond the campus.
