A Field Visit to Mazhar Botanical Garden
The Pharmacognosy Department at PUA’s Faculty of Pharmacy, organized a field visit to the Mazhar Botanical Garden in Cairo for freshman students as part of the “Medicinal Plants” Course, aiming to link theoretical academic content with direct practical application. The tour offered students a unique opportunity to identify various species of medicinal plants in their natural habitat and apply the knowledge acquired in their classrooms.
The Pharmacognosy Department extended its sincere gratitude and appreciation to the management of Mazhar Botanical Garden and its specialists for the warm reception and excellent organization. The Department particularly thanked Dr. Treza Labib, praising her comprehensive explanations and valuable insights that enriched the visit and contributed to achieving its educational goals. The participating students and faculty members expressed their great satisfaction with this experience, emphasizing its positive impact on enhancing scientific understanding and raising awareness of the economic and medical importance of vegetation.
