8th Nawar Prize for Drawing Inaugurated
In a continuous effort to foster artistic creativity and encourage emerging talents, PUA’s Faculty of Arts and Design has officially launched the 8th edition of the “Nawar Prize for Drawing.” Building on the remarkable success of its previous cycles, the competition stands as a prestigious academic platform. In this edition, the faculty has extended participation to all PUA students across all disciplines, underscoring the belief that artistic expression is a universal language that enriches both the academic environment and society at large.
The inauguration ceremony featured a comprehensive presentation outlining the competition’s objectives, artistic themes, and participation criteria. The event also showcased a retrospective of winning masterpieces from previous years, reflecting the evolution of students’ aesthetic visions. Keynote speeches by university leaders and renowned artists highlighted drawing as a fundamental tool for human expression, emphasizing its role in developing aesthetic awareness and elevating artistic taste within the campus community.
The “Nawar Prize for Drawing” serves as a strategic platform designed to bridge the gap between young artists and industry experts, helping students refine their skills and channel their creative energies toward professional pathways. This event reaffirms the Faculty’s commitment to its leading role in nurturing visual arts and supporting cultural initiatives. By fostering such creative dialogues, PUA continues to promote cultural interaction and artistic excellence, aligning with its mission to cultivate well-rounded and innovative graduates.
