A Field Visit to the EMPC

PUA’s Faculty of Mass Communication organized an extensive field visit for its students to the Egyptian Media Production City (EMPC) in Cairo. This initiative supports the practical and applied dimensions of media education, developing students’ professional skills to prepare them for entering the competitive labor market with efficiency and professionalism.

The students commenced the visit by attending an intensive training lecture at the “Upskills” Media Training Center within the city, where they explored the latest global trends and advanced digital technologies utilized in television broadcasting, program production, and filmmaking.

The visit also included a comprehensive field tour through state-of-the-art audio studios, open-air backlots, and indoor shooting locations. During the tour, students observed the latest lighting, filming, and digital editing equipment, while gaining first-hand experience regarding the workflow within diverse media production environments and the behind-the-scenes dynamics of drama and news production.
