Celebrating World Oral Health Day
PUA’s Faculty of Dentistry celebrated World Oral Health Day, with the attendance of an elite group of representatives from the World Dental Federation (FDI), who praised the Faculty’s tangible efforts in organizing outstanding awareness activities that serve the local community.
The Faculty’s Quality Assurance Unit organized the event, supervising the design of advanced educational models for the Public Health Department. The celebration drew massive attendance from faculty members, students, and a large crowd of patients visiting the Faculty’s clinics, with active participation from Sensodyne and Signal, the leading corporations in oral care. This celebration strengthens the Faculty’s civic role and contributes to elevating health awareness among citizens, in line with modern global directions.
The celebration featured a variety of activities and scientific competitions in the fields of infection control and proper dental nutrition, alongside discussing the intersection of the dental profession with environmental sustainability. Participating students demonstrated high levels of skill, professional awareness, and innovative capacity, clearly reflected in the artistic and scientific presentations showcased by the Oral Biology Department.
