Adaptive Reuse in Sustainable Architecture
PUA’s Community Service Center, in collaboration with the Green Pharos Committee at the Faculty of Arts and Design, held a workshop titled “Adaptive Reuse in Architecture” as part of PUA’s third environmental campaign. The workshop highlighted the importance of repurposing existing buildings through innovative and sustainable methods to conserve resources and reduce environmental waste, while enhancing the aesthetic and functional value of architectural spaces.
The sessions covered the latest global concepts and practical applications in the field, emphasizing its vital role in achieving sustainable urban development. The workshop witnessed significant student engagement, with participants presenting creative design proposals that reflect their growing awareness of environmental issues. This initiative reinforces PUA’s commitment to spreading a culture of sustainability and promoting positive environmental practices within the campus community.
