SDGs and Green Pharos

As part of the third environmental campaign “Green Pharos” and under the supervision of the Community Service and Environmental Development Center (CSED), PUA’s Faculty of Languages and Translation hosted an awareness seminar titled “Sustainable Development Goals and their Echoes on Green Pharos.” This initiative falls within PUA’s efforts to enhance its leading role in spreading a culture of sustainability and activating community service practices.

Dr. Sayed Hassouna, representative of the Faculty’s Green Pharos Committee, discussed the concept of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and their various dimensions, emphasizing the pivotal role of educational institutions in achieving these targets by integrating environmental concepts into curricula and student activities. The seminar reviewed PUA’s efforts in implementing “Green University” standards and linking these practices with Egypt’s Vision 2030 to achieve a transition toward a more balanced future.

CSED affirms its continuous commitment to supporting events that raise environmental awareness among students and motivate them to participate positively in community initiatives both inside and outside the campus. This seminar confirms PUA’s dedication to preparing an environmentally educated generation equipped with the necessary tools to support development issues, contributing to consolidating responsibility toward society and the surrounding environment.
