As part of the International Relations Office’s interest in international cooperation and exchange of expertise, and based on the invitation from Bibliotheca Alexandrina to participate in the Regional Open Science Workshop titled: “Foundations of Open Science: Concepts, Principles, and Regional Application”, Dr. Nourhan El-Heraidi, Lecturer in the Architectural Engineering Department and PUA’s African Relations Coordinator attended the workshop’s activities.
The workshop included regional case studies and panel discussions on the African Open Science Platform, presented by Prof. Dr. Islam Abou El-Magd, Advisor to the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research for African Affairs in Egypt. The workshop also featured sessions on publishing development in Europe at the Public Library in Germany.
The event saw the attendance of professors and specialists from various countries, includin Tunisia, Jordan, Morocco, Germany, Algeria, and Argentina, which fostered the exchange of international expertise in the field of Open Science.
