Entrepreneurship Club Events

A new step towards fostering a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship at Pharos University: the Entrepreneurship Club has merged with the Innovators and Geniuses Fund to establish the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center.

This initiative aligns with the university’s ongoing efforts to empower youth and encourage initiative, building an integrated ecosystem that combines knowledge, creativity, and teamwork.

An introductory meeting was held on Tuesday, November 4, attended by the Center Director, Deputy Director, and coordinators from various faculties, to present the center’s vision, future objectives, and the new plan aimed at creating a university environment that promotes innovation, entrepreneurship, training programs, and support opportunities for creative students.

Pharos University hosted the introductory day for the Hult Prize competition, during which the competition’s vision was presented, highlighting its role in fostering innovation and generating meaningful social impact. The session emphasized the importance of entrepreneurial ideas in driving change and encouraged participating students to embrace a spirit of initiative.

The event showcased a high level of enthusiasm and creativity, marking the beginning of a promising and impactful season ahead.

The Entrepreneurship Club at Pharos University is pleased to announce that the student team Innovate 3D, consisting of Fady Amjad from the Faculty of Engineering and Abdullah Mohamed from the Faculty of Financial and Administrative Sciences, has won the Rally Egypt Entrepreneurship Competition, receiving funding of EGP 50,000, showcasing their creativity and innovation.

Congratulations to Innovate 3D on this achievement, and we wish them continued success.

The Entrepreneurship Club is pleased to announce Pharos University Alexandria’s participation in the Alexandria regional qualifiers of the Egyptian Entrepreneurship League, under the sponsorship of the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology, held at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina.

Three student teams qualified: Titan, Alzfix, and Kamn, among a total of 22 teams from 8 universities and research institutions.

a delegation representing the club participated in the third edition of the Intra-African Trade Fair (IATF) held at the Exhibition Grounds and Al-Manara International Conference Center in Cairo.

As part of Pharos University in Alexandria’s ongoing efforts to engage with the Egyptian entrepreneurial ecosystem and foster an environment that enhances networking and collaboration,
Prof. Dr. Nourhan Fanaki, Vice President of the University, directed the participation of a team representing the Entrepreneurship Club and the Career Preparation & Entrepreneurship Center at Pharos University in the Rally Startup 2023 Festival, held in Al-Alamein from September 3–5.

The festival features several panel discussions, training sessions, as well as networking opportunities between participating startups and investors through presenting and promoting their innovative ideas.
The event also includes the announcement of the winners of the Rally Accelerate 2023 Competition.

It is worth mentioning that the event hosts more than 100 students from entrepreneurial teams and startups, over 30 local and international speakers, more than 40 universities, several research institutions, various business incubators, and hundreds of attendees.

The Entrepreneurship Club at Pharos University organized “Startup Weekend” activities on Friday, Saturday, and Monday (27–28–30 August) with the teams selected to apply to one of the business incubators at the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology (ASRT).

During the event, the participating teams met virtually with experts from Zewail City, Nile University, Alexandria University, and Pharos University to receive guidance, feedback, and application form reviews prior to submitting their proposals to the Academy by the end of August.

 

As part of the announcement by the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology (ASRT), Egypt, regarding the APPLE Initiative—aimed at enhancing collaboration between scientific research and industry—Pharos University in Alexandria is hosting an orientation seminar delivered by a group of experts to clarify and discuss the initiative’s focus areas.

The initiative aims to support economic growth, help reduce import costs, strengthen the competitiveness of national industries, and promote local manufacturing.
