Field Training Qualification Week Launched

The activities of the “Field Training Qualification Week” commenced at PUA’s Faculty of Mass Communication. The event aimed to design an integrated training ecosystem that prepares and qualifies the student body to acquire the essential skill sets and professional expertise prior to engaging in actual field operations within journalistic and media institutions.

The activities initiated with an extensive opening session where the Dean delivered a welcoming speech to the students, emphasizing the core significance of maximizing benefits during the field training period as it serves as the primary bridge and initial step toward building a sustainable professional future capable of adapting to modern shifts. She also urged the students to demonstrate excellence, strict professional commitment, and a keenness to honorably represent the academic institution, highlighting that the students serve as the true face and ambassadors of the faculty across various work environments. Following this, the Director of the Faculty’s Training Unit, delivered a comprehensive presentation detailing the field training objectives and logistical implementation mechanisms, reviewing registration and monitoring procedures, as well as scientific evaluation standards and requirements for successfully passing the training period.

Directly following the opening session, intensive specialized tracks began, featuring distinct participation from senior experts and practitioners in the media field. Students of the Radio and Television Department engaged with the director, Mr. Wesam Al-Refai, who outlined visual and audio production requirements alongside the latest directorial techniques and performance skills essential to excel in competitive environments. Concurrently, Public Relations and Advertising students met with digital media specialist, Mr. Ziad Amr, who discussed contemporary communication strategies, the latest trends in content creation across social networks, and smart digital labor market demands.

These events align with the Faculty’s core strategy centered on boosting practical implementation and bridging the gap between theoretical frameworks and practical reality, aiming to graduate generations capable of leadership and global competition.
