Dentistry’s Alumni Gathering
PUA’s Community Service and Environmental Development Center (CSED), in cooperation with the Alumni Committee at the Faculty of Dentistry, hosted an extensive alumni meeting. This initiative activates PUA’s vision to strengthen ongoing communication with its graduates and support professional and scientific bonds across different generations.
The gathering drew an elite group of distinguished alumni representing academic, professional, and legislative fields, including: Dr. Rawya Mokhtar (2015 graduate, dentist and Member of the Parliament), Dr. Alaa Maher (2011 graduate, Lecturer in the Removable Prosthodontics Department at PUA), Dr. Mohamed Shaban (2012 graduate, Lecturer in the Fixed Prosthodontics Department at PUA), Dr. Selim Jouda (2011 graduate, dentist), and Dr. Doha Harazy (2013 graduate, dentist and dental photographer).
The meeting explored the diverse success paths of graduates after completion of their degrees, reviewing their inspiring professional experiences. The discussions emphasized the centrality of maintaining communication channels between the faculty and its alumni to support current students, prepare them for the labor market, and enhance the role of medical professionals in serving the community. The event fostered a fruitful exchange of ideas regarding educational development and linking curricula with modern practical applications in oral and dental medicine, reflecting PUA’s vision of achieving integration between academic education and real-world professional expertise.
