PUA’s Faculty of Arts and Design hosted a pastoral visit by Prof. Dr. Mohamed Etman, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, as part of the university leadership’s commitment to supporting student and community activities. The tour began amidst a joyful Ramadan atmosphere, as he inspected the faculty’s corridors adorned with festive decorations. He expressed great admiration for the spirit of cooperation and belonging demonstrated by students, faculty members, and staff in creating this distinguished celebratory ambiance. Dr. Etman also insisted on taking commemorative photos with the students, faculty, and university workers, praising their efforts in presenting the faculty in an honorable and civilized manner that reflects the spirit of teamwork on campus.
The visit included a distinguished review of the outcomes of the first-year students, where the Vice President examined projects from the Fashion Department and the Engineering Section. These included precise works in engineering drawing, perspective studies, and architectural projections, as well as applications of geometric projection in 3D design. He lauded the students’ high technical and artistic skills, considering these works a reflection of the quality of the educational system and its ability to refine students’ talents both technically and artistically. At the end of the visit, Prof. Dr. Maha Darwish, Dean of the Faculty, presented the humanitarian initiative launched by the Faculty to collect donations and prepare “Ramadan Bags” to support the university’s workers. This gesture received high praise from the Vice President, who emphasized that the university takes pride in being an institution that blends academic excellence with sincere social responsibility.
