In a new milestone reflecting the artistic excellence of Pharos University in Alexandria (PUA), the Ministry of Youth and Sports has announced the qualification of Shehab Wael Mohamed El-Saidi, a student at the Faculty of Tourism and Hotel Management, for the national finals of the “Ebdaa 14” Festival. Competing in the Fine Arts category, specifically in Photography, Shehab’s qualification highlights his exceptional talent and creative vision within one of Egypt’s most prestigious cultural platforms for university students, held at the Youth City in Abu Qir.

This achievement is a direct result of the continuous support and mentoring provided by the PUA Student Activities Department. The university remains committed to identifying and nurturing young talents, providing them with the necessary technical guidance and resources to compete at the national level. Demonstrating the university’s pride, Prof. Dr. Mohamed Etman, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, personally congratulated the student, emphasizing that PUA’s mission is to empower students to excel both academically and artistically. Commemorative photos were taken to celebrate this success and inspire the wider student body to pursue their creative passions.

The final judging sessions are scheduled to take place between January 26 and 28, 2026, where a specialized committee will evaluate the finalists based on rigorous artistic standards. PUA’s participation in “Ebdaa 14” underscores its holistic educational approach, which balances academic rigor with the promotion of soft skills and creative expression. This also aligns with the national strategic vision of the Ministry of Youth and Sports to invest in young Egyptian creators and develop their skills across various artistic and visual disciplines, ensuring they are well-equipped to contribute to the nation’s cultural landscape.
