Under the auspices of Prof. Ezzat Hassan, the Dean of the faculty of Applied Health Sciences Technology, Prof. Mervat Osman, the Vice-Dean and the Head of the Scientific Committee invited the faculty members and teaching assistants to attend the second meeting of the scientific committee during this fall which was held on Tuesday, 3 December 2019. At the beginning, Dr. Ahmed Salah gave a lecture entitled “Positron-emitting Radionuclides Production Facilities” which addressed the positron emission tomography (PET) that is considered a three-dimensional imaging technique in Nuclear Medicine that is used to observe metabolic processes in the body and it helps in the diagnosis of many diseases, including types of cancer, heart diseases and brain disorders.
