Under the auspices of Prof. Maged El Ghazouly, the Dean of the faculty of Pharmacy and Drug Manufacturing, the faculty organized a workshop entitled “Research Ethics: Basic Concepts for Capacity Building” on Monday, 16 September 2019. This workshop was attended by Prof. Soad Toaima, the Vice Dean of Graduate Studies and Research, a number of faculty members, teaching assistants and postgraduates. The workshop addressed many points, most notably:
- “Why the Research Ethics Standards? The research ethics timeline”, a presentation that was given by Prof. Inas Darwish, a Lecturer in the Department of Pharmacology and Therapeutics.
- “The ethics of Laboratory Animal Studies”, a point that was addressed by Dr. Nesrine Saeid, a Lecturer in the Department of Pharmacology and Therapeutics.
“Application Form for Research Ethics Registration”, a topic that was raised by Dr. Yasmine Shahine, a Lecturer in the Department of Microbiology and Immunology.
